Another Year and the Same old Same Old

I wish covid-19 was over. I got my vaccine, so did my family. I wish everyone had done the same thing, so it would make sense that people are going out to the NYS Fair, and concerts and dining out, etc. I think the pandemic is messing with people's minds, in a big way. Mental illness is now more front and center than ever. Never in our wildest dreams-I know some of us never imagined being smack the middle in one and having to wear masks and keep our distance from friends and some family members. I think some people just can't take living like this and are acting out. Anyhoo....

Well, my old job asked me back. My health has diminished because of working there, so I told them NO! I mean, I am older now than when I started this blog, and I always told myself (manifesting works, people!) that I want to wake up everyday and do what I want to do. It happened. I am now doing that.

I didn't expect a pandemic to be the start of freedom, but, I kind of got used to it and I LOVE being at home! Yes, I have no day job, but I never really wanted one. I have bought more courses on writing and now I am taking a course from a Dept. of Labor suggestion from Coursera, and I plan on taking a whole lot of other courses to begin another career, working from home.

Yes, I think of myself now as any entrepreneur or star out there that started from nothing, lived in their cars and went after their dream and made it big. I don't want to be famous, no, but to follow after my fellow writers who are currently making five figures or more a month. Yes. I am still Chasing Riley,  a bit, but now I am more closer to my dream than ever.

Saving Lives, Staying Home and Very Much Determined

I hope all of you, your familes and friends are safe and healthy during this strange time.  I live with my mom and sister and we are all okay.... BUT  the  day job I had for years is now gone. I was working at home  for two weeks and two days, in March, then I was called and told I had zero hours.

Now, I have always wanted to quit my day job. I have a college degree from Syracuse University, and have been accepting a low salary for years ( under $10K) because I could find nothing better. I had watched several employees-some just new hires,  get promotions in a few months time, while I who had tried many times got nothing. I won't go through all I had experienced there, that is not the point I want to make here today.

I had no way of getting anything better in my city, so along comes COVID-19 and now I am at home. Am I going stir crazy? No! I love being at home with my family, and now have the time to get all those  time consuming jobs and projects around the house and in the yard done. Most importantly,  I have the time to make the life of my dreams come true....to be a successfully published writer. I have sold ebooks,  yes, but not successfully. So now I have all the time in the world, and I am going to focus on one thing at a time, and get the job done!

While I wait for my first unemployment payment (you can guess how crazy that is..*eye roll*) I will be focusing on becomiing better and marketing my books.. I am so bad on keeping up with this blog but, I will post at least once a month to keep you posted.

Take care, and remember to wash your hands.

IM BACK!

Yes, I know I haven't written since the first of Never-ary but I will try to post at LEAST once a month from now on. I'm getting closer to reaching Riley for the first time in a long time I feel MORE than inspired that my goals, dreams, will come true. This is what I have been doing:

  1. Taking new writing courses
  2. Writing
Apart from that life has been happening and it takes me awhile to get back on track, but I will start posting how close I am to catching Riley and living the life of my dreams.

What Didn't Work
Maybe it worked and continues to work for other people, but Etsy did not work for me. After listing products that I took from a course (saying it would sell, what a laugh!) I got "likes" and a little interest in my store, even a person who LIED. (I had a feeling) saying they wanted to buy every single product in my store.  I got tired of wasting money I really don't have and closed it down.

Here's something to remember, everyone who wants to earn a living online: Whatever website you signed up to, and you earned money with them, stick with them. For me, those websites are Amazon and Fiverr. So, that is how I am going to catch up to Riley. Times up now, stay tuned next month!
