Chasing Riley: Doing Surveys Part Two

Well.....qualifying for surveys on a new survey website was not the thing I hoped it would be. As I'm sure I've said before, the survey website I was a member of closed and I had no choice but to join another one, and the promises of making a certain dollar amount a day, did not happen. I have a small monetary goal that I hope to reach this week, and I will let you know if that happens.

I did find one winning strategy, though. Go for the high-paying surveys first. Some of them are long, I finished one today that was nearly two hours, but I got the points. Suveys are good for pizza money, bus fare and saving for Black Friday to get Christmas gifts. They really stink at paying bills. I am working on a bigger income stream and I will tell you all about it later in the week. So, surveys are just one thing that I am doing. Tomorrow, I will talk about the other income streams I am doing.

Another Year and the Same old Same Old

 I wish covid-19 was over. I got my vaccine, so did my family. I wish everyone had done the same thing, so it would make sense that people are going out to the NYS Fair, and concerts and dining out, etc. I think the pandemic is messing with people's minds, in a big way. Mental illness is now more front and center than ever. Never in our wildest dreams-I know some of us never imagined being smack the middle in one and having to wear masks and keep our distance from friends and some family members. I think some people just can't take living like this and are acting out. Anyhoo....

Well, my old job asked me back. My health has diminished because of working there, so I told them NO! I mean, I am older now than when I started this blog, and I always told myself (manifesting works, people!) that I want to wake up everyday and do what I want to do. It happened. I am now doing that.

I didn't expect a pandemic to be the start of freedom, but, I kind of got used to it and I LOVE being at home! Yes, I have no day job, but I never really wanted one. I have bought more courses on writing and now I am taking a course from a Dept. of Labor suggestion from Coursera, and I plan on taking a whole lot of other courses to begin another career, working from home.

Yes, I think of myself now as any entrepreneur or star out there that started from nothing, lived in their cars and went after their dream and made it big. I don't want to be famous, no, but to follow after my fellow writers who are currently making five figures or more a month. Yes. I am still Chasing Riley,  a bit, but now I am more closer to my dream than ever.

Make Money Online With Earnably

You know me, I am always looking for ways to earn money online. Finding all the ways to make my life easier is closer to the goal of having the life of Riley. Well, I found this new website that is quite fun and easy to make cash from. You think Swagbucks is all that, this website is like Swagbucks on Steroids!

Earnably  is free to sign up and earn money. Each point is 0.1 Cents, so 100 points is $1.00. They have a level system. How that works is each member starts at "0" and you can work your way up by completing goals. Going up levels gives you more perks to get more points. One perk when you reach the first level is getting daily prizes. If you want to get to the first level, you will have to: complete 25 offers, Earn 1000 points and redeem your points and get your first payment.
There are many ways to earn points, the best one I like is the Actions category. In the actions category, you can do things like write a blog post, put the website in a forum signature, and Tweet about it. If you have a phone, you can download apps. Unfortunately, I don't have a phone, but I can do surveys, watch videos, play games, use the offer wall, listen to the radio. Bottom line, there is plenty to do!
How you get paid is awesome as well. You can get paid by either Paypal, Amazon Giftcard or Bitcoins. When you set up your account you are able to choose when you'd like to be paid. You can request $1.00 (100 points)  up to  $30 (300 points). What is cool is that you can choose to be paid automatically! So every time you make $5.00 for instance, (which is 500 points) you can get that automatically sent to your Paypal account.

Still Chasing Riley 2016

Alot has happened. I was sick last year for more than six months. This year, about three weeks. It has been hard trying to work when you don't feel well. Then, not being able to.  Now that I am just about feeling great, for once,  I can get back to it.

Seriously, the whole point of this blog is to earn an income that will not only make me financially independent, but will have me working at home. I am still trying to get my e books to sell. It's frustrating seeing people who are selling hundreds and thousands of books a day, and I'm not even making bus fare with my books.

What has changed? If you also want to become a writer, please take this very important advice. FICTION sells on Amazon. If anyone tries to tell you non-fiction is the best thing to sell to pay the bills,  they are misleading you. I've done a cookbook, children's books, and it is not the same as FICTION.

SO, having said that. I am actively writing again. I got an editor working on one book, and I will keep writing and publishing, hoping that in a few months(according to one course that I took) that I should make enough sales. If I make enough sales and become financially free, that means I would have caught Riley, at last. I will keep you posted on my progress and success. Once I have caught Riley, I would be more than happy to share what worked in free case studies.

I have not forgotten my first love, music. I just have to get past the first step.

One Step Closer To Riley.....

There is so much confusion about earning money online. That is why people scream scams and don't believe that you can make anything on the Internet. Those people are wrong. I have made money online, not enough to quit my  j.o.b. but,  I have a plan to get me past the first step on to the next. What is my plan?   Kindle Publishing. I've read a lot about it, have made a little money with it, but there are so many things I need(music supplies and equipment) not to mention the basics. I've listened to at least six if not more Kindle publishing webinars. I've read ebooks, and listened to a video course. So this month I'm finally putting this plan into action. If I succeed, then I will be one step closer to Riley. Will I be the next Amanda Hocking? I don't know, maybe. I'm not that silly to think I could achieve that within a month. All I'm looking for is some financial relief and that's nowhere near what Amanda Hocking has. I'll let you know in May....and then, when I make it,  I will reach for the stars.

Branding Myself

This month will be the beginning of branding myself as
a musician. I read an article from an Internet guy about
a music millionaire, who used his brain and social networking
(free marketing people, stop using adwords!) to create a
name for himself in the music business.

DNJR will follow in his footsteps one day at a time. We
are in the process of finding our music.(a memory card
is missing!!!) We have created the most recent, and
what we consider best, music using MTV Music Generator.

Don't laugh because it's a video game. Brother and sister
duo Kellin and Taryn Manning (BoomKat) got a record deal
creating songs with it. Yep, you heard me right.

While people are being layed-off and living in tents, there
was a major change where I work. A new director stepped
in(they couldn't stand the last one) and she totally killed
my department. Three people having to do something new.
I'm pretty still in 'can't believe it' mode, the other doesn't know
where she's going, and the last in my department, my boss,
is leaving her heart behind. *Sigh*

Well, I can't complain too much, I worked
myself up(not that I had a choice...) to eight jobs in that
department, so now I'm down to one department.
But, I still have at least five jobs there-on minimum
wage, no less! So, when I read an article about how a
guy-a "rapper" became a millionaire from nothing,
(FREE ADVERTISING!!)you KNOW I am going to follow.

I'll carve out my own niche and customize his plan to
one that's right for me, and then I'll leave J.O.B. for
good.

Music Update

It has been a very long time since I started on this road.
Yes, I did make some money online, but, it wasn't enough
to quit my day job or even put a dent in my debt. So,
I have found out what I want to do. I want to earn
a passive income. Something that I can set and pretty
much forget about.

That is what is going to take me out of debt and get me
out of my miserable day job! I just deleted two of my blogs
today, Eternal Cash and Internet Facts. They weren't making
me any real money, and hardly no one was going to them.

So whatever works for me online is going into this blog,
because it's all about using the internet so that I can do
what I really want to do which is mainly music. After I
have succeeded with that,(this year) I'm branching out to my
other interests which are: Writing, Games, Art and Film.
At that time, I'll do blogs for those other interests, but this
one is all about catching Riley.

I'll be posting my articles on here, and I'll also other
peoples articles on music and the music industry, and
giving this blog a face lift, too. So, be sure to read on about
my journey to catching Riley!
