You'll Never Guess What Happened To Me

 Okay, so I am driving myself crazy with taking online courses AND writing books. Unemployment has ended on the 5th, but I am going to try again and see if I can get it a little while longer. Isn't Christmas coming up in 100 days or so? Granted, I won't be buying much as I did the previous years with a job and unemployment. The tree will look nice, but the presents (unless we are remembered by others this year) will be fewer.

So, this week I am launching a Pinterest business page. I really have my work cut out for me, luckily the rest of this month will be a lot of free time to work on it. I have been busy. Also, things are happening/has happened that are really unpleasant. When I get over it, I will tell you all about it, but right now I'm in the midst of it. "Problem" number one I'm waiting on pins and needles and do not know what is going to happen; the second "problem" well, I am doing alright, but it has taught me a lesson not to trust someone, even if they are your friend.

All I can say right now,  for the first problem, I keep thinking of the Missing Persons song "Destination Unknown". Do you know the lyrics? If not, look it up online.  For the second problem, the song from the Police comes to mind "Don't Stand So Close To Me." Keep guessing what my problems are. Will they interrupt me Chasing the Life of Riley? No, I will keep on going and going until I reach my goal.

Alot has happened. I was sick last year for more than six months. This year, about three weeks. It has been hard trying to work when you don't feel well. Then, not being able to.  Now that I am just about feeling great, for once,  I can get back to it.

Seriously, the whole point of this blog is to earn an income that will not only make me financially independent, but will have me working at home. I am still trying to get my e books to sell. It's frustrating seeing people who are selling hundreds and thousands of books a day, and I'm not even making bus fare with my books.

What has changed? If you also want to become a writer, please take this very important advice. FICTION sells on Amazon. If anyone tries to tell you non-fiction is the best thing to sell to pay the bills,  they are misleading you. I've done a cookbook, children's books, and it is not the same as FICTION.

SO, having said that. I am actively writing again. I got an editor working on one book, and I will keep writing and publishing, hoping that in a few months(according to one course that I took) that I should make enough sales. If I make enough sales and become financially free, that means I would have caught Riley, at last. I will keep you posted on my progress and success. Once I have caught Riley, I would be more than happy to share what worked in free case studies.

I have not forgotten my first love, music. I just have to get past the first step.

Chasing Riley 2015

Sorry I have not been blogging as I should have. I am juggling more projects and my blogs are left behind. I am making progress, although in micro steps. I am going to stick with what I said, years ago. I am going to become financially free with publishing first, then I will go back to doing music which my sister and I are anxious to do. I have found a way to write faster and hopefully this time my books will be something lots of people want to buy. I have 13 books published now, that do not sell every day. The Amazon rankings are 100K and above.

I had more, but had to let them go, because they weren't selling. So now I am focusing on something new to publish, and by July I'm hoping things will be looking a whole lot better and I will almost grab hold of Riley and stop chasing it. One thing I've learned is that you have to sell what people want. So that's just what I will do. Okay, back to work! I cannot promise, but I will try to do one post a month. So look for one in June on how well I am progressing.

Music News And Other Stuff....

I get so frustrated when I read about other people taking weeks, and up to four months earning a great income from home and I have not been able to do that yet. Oh, I make money online alright, but it's not enough to pay off credit cards, or mortgage payments. So right now I'm focusing on my writing so that's why I have not been here in a very, very, long time.
The main website I have been making money with-have made the most  money ever online is now closing shop. Yahoo bought out Associated Content, and now they are ending at the end of this month. The pressure to find a replacement, that will work better is on. So, all the music articles I wrote, I'll be posting once a month until I can finally post about my music. Until then.....

One Step Closer To Riley.....

There is so much confusion about earning money online. That is why people scream scams and don't believe that you can make anything on the Internet. Those people are wrong. I have made money online, not enough to quit my  j.o.b. but,  I have a plan to get me past the first step on to the next. What is my plan?   Kindle Publishing. I've read a lot about it, have made a little money with it, but there are so many things I need(music supplies and equipment) not to mention the basics. I've listened to at least six if not more Kindle publishing webinars. I've read ebooks, and listened to a video course. So this month I'm finally putting this plan into action. If I succeed, then I will be one step closer to Riley. Will I be the next Amanda Hocking? I don't know, maybe. I'm not that silly to think I could achieve that within a month. All I'm looking for is some financial relief and that's nowhere near what Amanda Hocking has. I'll let you know in May....and then, when I make it,  I will reach for the stars.

Music News

So what's happening in music with us, you say? Right now, nothing, but we did have a big discussion and chose some music that we want to create our own music with-royalty free music. We have yet to get out MTV music generator songs and compositions online. One day, we promise we will.

Well, I am working on all of these things to make myself debt free, so I can move forward and live the life of my dreams. Still Chasing Riley, but I'm more focused and one step closer. I have a mentor with freebie trading, lots of influential writer friends, and I found guides and articles to help me do better with the Yahoo Content Network(I'm talking page views) and PTC. I'm focusing on the five best, and longest ptc sites that have been online. So, there you go. That's what I'm up to. Catch you next time....
